We had a great lunch at Sai Japanese Bistro today. Loved how quiet and calm the restaurant was. The deluxe sushi bowl and my husbands ramen were both fresh and high quality. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Wish we lived in San Diego so we could come again (we’re visiting from out of state)!

This place just opened so we decided to go check it out for lunch a couple of weeks ago. There were only two other tables with customers inside when we went but I think it's because it's still a soft opening. The waitress was really nice. I believe her name was Jay if I remember correctly. The owners are from Japan and the wife came over to greet us at our table too. We both ordered the baked salmon bento box for lunch. It was just the right amount of food. I thought that salmon was a little plain. Everything else was good though. I'll have to come back to try something else on the menu. Hearing a lot of good reviews on this place!

Bento boxes were spot on for portion size and variety. Tempura was solid, and can't really go wrong with pot stickers. We wanted to try a new place so we had 4 different bento boxes, unfortunately all the proteins were overcooked and dry. Sushi chef made up for it, especially for a Sunday evening, everything was still fresh and tasty. I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for family run business, so one protein flaw can be overlooked :) Definitely reserve a table, when we walked in at 6:15, I was wondering why the hell we needed reservations and within 15 mins all the tables were filled

A beautiful slice of Japan in Scripps Ranch! Must try! The tempura and sushi were melting in the mouth. Spicy veg ramen had such a wonderfully unique favor! We are going to be frequenting this spot!

We had 4 different bento boxes, the variety was good, the protein across the board was dry unfortunately but not a deal breaker. Karaage chicken, sesame chicken, teriyaki salmon and teriyaki chicken. Mom likes the teriyaki sauce so that's a win Sushi was solid, first to get cleared off the table. Fully booked tables on a Sunday is a good sign. Ok bye happy dining!

Came here for an early dinner on a Thursday. They just opened for dinner and we were seated right away. Service here is very good. Hamachi kama was the best I’ve had in San Diego. It was tasty and not dry. The sukiyaki bowl was pretty decent.

Sai has become our weekly sushi fix, everything is sooooo delicious. The freshest fish, an organized menu that is easy to find your favorite rolls, bowls with delicious meats, and the ramen is absolutely legit, sooo flavorful!! I’ve eaten here at least 25 times. Here are my favorites: Appetizer: Gyoza Sushi: White Dragon Roll Poke Bowl: mix, with seaweed salad Hot meal: Tonkotsu (the broth is so tasty)
